About plate clamps

Plate clamps have also become an indispensable tool in the lifting industry. Ease of use is one thing, but the wide range of applications is equally impressive. From a standard clamp to a custom-made pipe grab, we've seen it all. Finding the right plate clamp for your lifting job is something we deal with every day! Standard plate clamps are in stock and ready for immediate collection and use. In addition, we are an authorised Crosby IP service centre for servicing these clamps.

Vertical plate clamp IP10

The IP10 plate clamp is designed for the safe vertical lifting, handling and turning of steel plates and structural components. Thanks to its robust clamping mechanism, the clamp automatically grips the load when lifted, creating a secure connection between the plate and the lifting equipment.

The IP10 is equipped with a fixed lifting point and is commonly used in applications where the load is lifted in one fixed direction. This makes the clamp particularly suitable for standard lifting operations in workshops and steel construction environments.

Typical applications:

  • Vertical lifting of steel plates
  • Handling structural components
  • Workshops and steel processing

Universal vertical plate clamp IPU10

The IPU10 is a universal vertical plate clamp used for lifting, turning and handling steel plates. Unlike the IP10, this clamp is equipped with a hinged lifting point, allowing the load to be picked up from different directions without side loading the clamp.

This makes the IPU10 particularly suitable for lifting steel plates from a horizontal position into a vertical position, or for applications where the lifting direction may vary.

Typical applications:

  • Lifting and turning steel plates
  • Use with two-leg or four-leg chain sling assemblies
  • Steel structure assembly

Horizontal plate clamp IPH10

The IPH10 plate clamp is specifically developed for the horizontal lifting and transport of steel plates. The clamps are always used in pairs to ensure stable and safe load handling.

The integrated support and clamping force ensure the plate remains securely gripped during lifting operations. Some versions are also equipped with magnetic support, allowing the clamp to be positioned easily onto the plate.

Typical applications:

  • Horizontal lifting of steel plates
  • Transport of plates in warehouses or workshops
  • Steel construction and plate processing
