Lifting hooks

A safe lifting solution starts with a strong and reliable lifting hook. This essential component provides a direct and secure connection between the lifting equipment and the load, ensuring controlled and efficient handling. Our range includes Gunnebo lifting hooks in various designs and working load limits, suitable for intensive use in industry, construction and logistics. Need advice on choosing the right lifting hook? About lifting hooks

At SKP, you can choose from a range of more than 20 different Gunnebo lifting hooks. You’ll always find the right hook for your lifting job. Whether you opt for a standard BK hook or one of its variations, a lifting hook with a ball bearing swivel, a safety latch or a standard safety hook, you'll find it all in our webshop.

Hooks with safety latch

Hooks with a safety latch provide a safe and fast connection between the load and the lifting equipment. The integrated latch prevents chains, slings or wire ropes from unintentionally slipping out of the hook during lifting operations.

The EKN and EGKN models are manufactured from hardened and tempered high-grade steel, ensuring high strength and a long service life. They are commonly used in chain slings and general lifting configurations.

Typical applications:

  • General lifting operations
  • Assembly and transport of loads

Swivel hooks

Swivel hooks allow the hook to rotate together with the load during lifting, preventing torsion in the chain or sling. This improves safety and helps prevent damage to the lifting equipment.

Thanks to their robust swivel construction, these hooks are suitable for intensive use in industrial applications.

Typical applications:

  • Positioning operations

Ball bearing swivel hooks

Ball bearing swivel hooks are designed for applications where the load must be able to rotate freely under load. The ball bearing mechanism ensures smooth rotation and prevents twisting of the lifting equipment.

These hooks are particularly suitable for positioning or rotating loads during assembly work.

Typical applications:

  • Positioning heavy loads
  • Rotation of structural components
  • Installation and assembly work

Hooks without safety latch

Hooks without a safety latch are used in applications where a quick and simple connection is required and where the risk of the lifting equipment becoming detached is minimal.

Thanks to their simple construction, these hooks are strong, reliable and easy to maintain.

Typical applications:

  • Industrial lifting applications
  • Chain configurations
  • Applications with permanent connections

Self-locking safety hooks

Self-locking safety hooks are designed to provide maximum safety during lifting operations. The locking mechanism prevents the load from coming out of the hook, even when the chain is temporarily unloaded.

These hooks are commonly used in professional lifting systems where safety and reliability are essential.

Typical applications:

  • Professional lifting configurations
  • Industrial lifting operations

Container hooks

Container hooks are specifically designed for the safe lifting and handling of shipping containers. Thanks to their dedicated shape, they fit securely into the container corner castings, creating a stable and reliable connection.

Typical applications:

  • Lifting shipping containers
  • Transport and logistics
  • Port and terminal operations

Round sling hooks

Round sling hooks are designed for use with round slings and lifting slings. The shape of the hook helps prevent damage to the lifting equipment while ensuring safe load engagement.

Typical applications:

  • Round slings and lifting slings
  • Lifting delicate loads
  • Assembly and transport operations

Shortening hooks

Shortening hooks allow the length of a chain leg to be adjusted quickly and safely. By placing the chain into the shortening hook, a chain leg can be shortened without the need for additional components.

Typical applications:

  • Shortening single-leg, two-leg and three- or four-leg chain sling assemblies
  • Lifting asymmetric loads
  • Assembly work

Weld-on hooks

Weld-on hooks are welded directly onto structures or machinery to create a permanent lifting point. They are a reliable solution for applications where a fixed lifting point is required.

Typical applications:

  • Construction machinery and structures
  • Permanent lifting points
  • Industrial and mechanical engineering applications
