What are automatic hooks?
Automatic hooks can be operated remotely without the need for physical contact. From a distance, one can open the hook, attach the load and close the hook again. Attaching the load is done in an ingenious way by a magnet in the hook housing that then exerts an attraction on e.g. a metal top ring or steel cable.
The radiographic Elebia hooks are equipped with a unique magnetic system that is provided with 32 permanent neodymium magnets. The positioning of e.g. the top ring is done completely automatically without having to change the direction of the hook. This basic component, which is present in all Elebia hooks, makes it possible to connect loads at a distance.
Ranging from the Elebia Evo 2 to the Evo 25, loads from 2.5 tons to 25 tons can be lifted respectively.

Protective cover
The optional protective cover or bumper for the automatic hooks is the perfect shock absorber that protects the safety hooks against shocks.

Load cells (measuring cells)
The automatic hooks from Elebia can be equipped with a built-in load cell . This load cell is accurate, reliable, compact and fully integrated in the safety hook. The load cell is recommended for preventing possible overload and as a load measurement . Load cells can also be retrofitted to older models of Elebia hooks.

The load cell in combination with the eMAX radio remote control turns the Elebia crane hooks into a precise scale with advanced functions. The eMAX remote control is a wireless remote control that provides the operator with real-time information about the status of the hook. This way, the operator knows exactly when the hook is in position, even when he does not have a direct view of the hook. Up to 20 hooks can be controlled simultaneously with one remote control. In addition to all the necessary information about the hook in real time, the remote control can also provide log reports of every lifting order. These reports can provide insight into productivity, but also incidents or interruptions are registered.
