The family-owned Royal Agio Cigars was founded in 1904. In 2020 the market position was strengthened when Agio became fully owned by the Scandinavian Tobacco Group.
The site in Oevel will undergo structural changes due to the integration. To carry out these works, they looked for equipment that would enable technicians to connect and maintain machines quickly and efficiently. It must also be possible to carry out this work without interrupting the production process. One of the requirements was that it must be possible to work at a height of at least 4 meters. It was also important that the unit was compact in size and maneuverable to reach narrow places. Obviously, the solution also had to guarantee the safety of the user and be easy to operate.
SKP can perfectly meet the needs of the Scandinavian Tobacco Group thanks to its wide range of electric elevating work platforms. The Elevah work platforms are available in various models ranging from 4 meters to 8 meters working height. For the customer, it soon became clear that an Elevah ES-MOVE was the right solution.
Models from the ES-MOVE gamme are electrically driven work platforms with an enclosed platform that can be extended. In this way one can reach places that are difficult to reach without having to stand straight under it. With a maximum height of 6.7 meters, the 65ES-MOVE also perfectly fulfills the customer's requirements to be able to work at a height of 4 meters. Combined with a material platform that can store up to 20kg of material and compact dimensions, this unit was the perfect solution for a satisfied customer. This is confirmed by the facility manager who is very satisfied that the aerial work platform can operate for a whole day on one charge.
The sometimes dusty environment was also a challenge for the technical side of the unit. Here too, the unit passed the test after 2 years of service. The facility manager is extremely satisfied with the quality because up to now there have been no malfunctions.
